Uber Launches Premium Travel Options Across The Amalfi Coast in Italy

Uber has announced new travel offerings along Italy’s Amalfi Coast to serve over five million expected visitors this summer. The new services, Uber Copter, Uber Boat, and Uber Reserve, aim to simplify high-season travel through luxury and convenience. Uber Copter will allow travelers to pre-book private round-trip helicopter rides between Sorrento and Capri via the Uber app. The service, priced at approximately $270 per person, includes transfers across the coast and accommodates groups of up to six. Meanwhile, Uber Boat will offer four-hour private cruises for up to 12 passengers aboard a Gozzo 35 yacht, featuring a personal skipper, snacks, and drinks. These experiences will operate on weekends from July 26th, 2025, to August 24, 2025, and must be reserved at least 48 hours in advance.

To improve ground transportation, Uber will also introduce Uber Reserve in the region, letting tourists book rides in advance and avoid peak-time congestion, especially with increased traffic from new international flights to Salerno Airport. Anabel Diaz, Vice President of EMEA Mobility at Uber, stated, “Italy is fast becoming one of our most popular tourist destinations, with travelers turning to the Uber app to help make their holiday travel stress-free. This summer, we’re adding a series of unforgettable experiences that will make traveling by land, sea, or air more magical than ever before.” Uber saw a 25% rise in demand across Italian destinations in 2024, with 60,000 users opening the app on the Amalfi Coast alone.
