Montage Laguna Beach has officially reopened its signature oceanfront restaurant, Studio, reimagined as Studio Mediterranean. Perched on a cliffside overlooking the Pacific Ocean, the newly designed restaurant offers a blend of Mediterranean and California coastal cuisine. Executive Chef Dennis Efthymiou, a Greek native with experience in Michelin-starred kitchens worldwide, leads the culinary program. Chef Efthymiou stated, “Studio Mediterranean is a personal expression of my Greek heritage, enhanced by California’s seasonal bounty. We’ve created a menu that honors the traditional flavors and coastal lifestyle of the Mediterranean while embracing a fresh, modern sensibility.” The seasonal menu emphasizes sustainable and responsibly sourced ingredients, with highlights such as charred octopus with saganaki sauce, coffee salt baked branzino, and a baklava ice cream sundae.
Guests can also enjoy a curated wine selection and signature cocktails with Greek-inspired flavors. Victorio Gonzalez, Managing Director commented, “The transformation of our signature restaurant into Studio Mediterranean marks a defining moment for Montage Laguna Beach and adds a vibrant new destination to the heart of Orange County’s culinary scene” Designed with coastal tones and natural materials, the restaurant retains its original architecture, offering expansive ocean views and an inviting ambiance. A marble bar, wraparound terrace, and private dining options, including The Chef’s Table, enhance the experience. Initially open exclusively to resort guests from June 26, 2025, Studio Mediterranean will welcome public reservations starting October 10, 2025.
