Raffles Hotels & Resorts has opened Raffles Sentosa Singapore, the city’s first all-villa resort, marking a significant addition to its hospitality portfolio. Backed by Asok Kumar Hiranandani’s Royal Group, the 62-villa property sits within a lush 100,000 sq m enclave on Sentosa, offering privacy and jungle intimacy rather than ocean panoramas. With entry-level villas starting around £800 per night, early occupancy rates are strong, boosted by demand from international guests and local staycationers. Design firm Yabu Pushelberg reinterpreted the traditional Raffles identity with relaxed interiors, drawing on natural materials and tropical motifs. “The client envisioned a resort that would carry the Raffles legacy forward,” said Glenn Pushelberg, describing the project as the “contemporary granddaughter on holiday” compared to the original Raffles Singapore.
Highlights include the 515 sq m Presidential Villa and the expansive 650 sq m Royal Villa, each with dedicated butler service and exclusive amenities. Dining options span seven venues, from Tuscan specialties at Empire Grill to omakase at Iyasaka by Hashida, with the hidden Chairman’s Room offering rare whiskies and a reimagined Sentosa Sling. The wellness center, housed in a restored 1930s military barracks, now features 13 treatment rooms, steam facilities, and a lap pool. While service teams show some signs of their March 2025 debut, the resort’s mix of seclusion, bespoke dining, and nature-driven design positions it as a distinctive alternative to its Beach Road counterpart.
