Micron Pledges AI Education Investment to Prepare America’s Future Workforce

Micron Technology has pledged a major investment in artificial intelligence education to prepare young Americans for an AI-powered future. Through its national initiative, America’s Youth: Investing in AI Education, the company will support more than 40,000 students and educators over the next four years. Its commitments include integrating AI lessons into all signature programs, such as Chip Camps and Careers in Tech, offering free AI resources for teachers through its Educator Hub, and launching a volunteer program where employees will mentor over 1,000 students in AI concepts and career pathways.

Micron will also collaborate with customers, nonprofits, and STEM funders to expand opportunities and continue providing technology donations to youth-serving organizations. These efforts directly support the White House’s April executive order on advancing AI education and demonstrate Micron’s commitment to strengthening the U.S. STEM pipeline.

Beyond education, Micron is making a record domestic semiconductor investment of $200 billion in manufacturing and R&D, which is expected to create about 90,000 jobs in the U.S. With innovations in high bandwidth memory powering AI applications, the company plays a vital role in shaping America’s technological progress. By aligning with national priorities and expanding access to AI learning, Micron is not only advancing its industry but also contributing significantly to society by preparing the next generation for success in an AI-driven economy.
