Las Vegas Sands Begins Construction on $8B Singapore Luxury Resort

Las Vegas Sands has officially begun construction on an $8 billion ultra-luxury resort and entertainment destination adjacent to Marina Bay Sands in Singapore. The groundbreaking ceremony, attended by company executives, Singapore’s Prime Minister Lawrence Wong, and Miriam Adelson, marks a significant step in the hospitality group's long-term investment in the city-state. The new development will feature a 570-suite hotel tower, a 15,000-seat indoor arena, over 200,000 square feet of premium meeting space, rooftop dining, and luxury retail offerings. Designed by Safdie Architects, the tower will rise 55 stories with twin wings angled to provide panoramic views of Marina Bay and the Singapore Strait. The venue will also house the Skyloop, a 76,000-square-foot rooftop experience with gardens, restaurants, and wellness spaces.

Sustainability is central to the project, aligning with Las Vegas Sands’ ECO360 strategy. Key environmental features include a self-shading façade, low-carbon materials, and waste recycling efforts aiming to divert 75% of construction waste from landfills. “With its opening in 2010, our founder Sheldon G. Adelson embarked on a journey in Singapore with Marina Bay Sands and the people of Singapore that promised to change the face of tourism in the region. Fifteen years later, we have delivered on these ambitions and more,” said Robert Goldstein, Chairman and CEO, reflecting on the success of Marina Bay Sands.
